PRESSMAN-VINYL RECORD PRESSING PLANT

JOB DESCRIPTION
Pressman for the pressing of vinyl records. Operate, maintain and repair vinyl pressing machines.

JOB DUTIES
• Operate 6 or more vinyl record presses
• Working within a manufacturing environment, with heavy equipment and machines
• Responsible for machine start-ups, maintenance & repair duties
• Troubleshoot machine, mold and material problems
• Communicating effectively with supervisors to ensure quality components
• Fill in logs, mold books and time sheets
• Monitor and maintain area for organization and safety
• Responsible to follow all OSHA and safety rules and regulations

REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to lift 55 lbs.
• Must be mechanically inclined, and have machinery aptitude
• Ability to speak, write and understand the English language
• Excellent communication and attention to detail under pressure with tight deadlines.
• Understands and applies health and safety procedures in a manufacturing setting
• Flexibility with production schedule and willing to work overtime
• Electric and/or industrial maintenance experience preferred
• Black seal license a plus (or desire to obtain within 6 months)
• Forklift Certification a plus
• Previous Experience in Compression Molding a plus

JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for reliable people to assemble and package the various components of a vinyl record audio package for commercial sale. This is a physical, fast-paced position that involves an eye for detail and a high standard of quality control.

JOB DUTIES
• Insertion, application and shrink wrapping with 100% accuracy to create a customer ready vinyl album package
• Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process or system
• Follow all safety, standard operating procedures and work instructions
• Communicate effectively with direct supervision on all aspects of the job
• Accurately complete all paperwork associated with the job; document all activities as required
• Perform other duties as required or assigned

REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE
• Must have high school diploma or G.E.D.
• Must have the ability to read and write instructions and correspondence in English
• Must be able to maintain good attendance
• Work with minimum supervision in a team environment
• Must be able to lift at least 35 pounds
